Can't Wait For Brandon's Arrival In Manila

One memorable photo with Brandon

My brother Florante and my favorite nephew in the world, Brandon Zyl are expected to arrive here in Manila tomorrow morning. I'm so excited already just thinking about Brandon at work earlier today. I really miss the little guy. And I can't wait to hug and kiss him once again! I can't wait for tomorrow to come! :LOL!

It's Going To Be A Fun Weekend!

Today marks one of my most awaited long weekend! :)

It's going to be a busy day. I'll be fetching my Aunt at the airport this morning, meet up with a friend and a cousin and leave my Aunt at my cousin's care. Tomorrow is going to be her first international flight. I hope everything will go smoothly.

Later this afternoon, I'll be meeting up a good friend for the first time. We've been virtual friends for quite sometime now. Irene and I are will try to make sure his visit here in Manila will be worth his while. I'm getting excited already! :D

Later tonight, there is going to be a Church event happening at Rizal Stadium. It's our Regional Unity Games. A lot of Iglesia Ni Cristo members are going to participate in the games. My friends and myself are going to be spectators.

Just thinking about my schedule for the day is already exhausting but I don't mind because for sure, I'll be having so much fun! Not just today, but for the whole duration of my weekend! :D

Computer Dilemma

I miss my Dell laptop. It was one of the best investments I ever made. Unfortunately it was stolen from me more than a year ago. So I bought a second hand laptop. With little knowledge of what a secondhand laptop was suppose to have, I bought it. Even if it hasn't been fixed or reformatted 2 or three years since it was bought by the owner. I can't even find the video of this computer because it got a lot stuffs in it. I can't actually personalize it. And the worst is, I can't find the driver CD so I can just reformat it myself. Sigh.

I better check something online to speed up computer with System Mechanic. It might make my laptop stop being crappy. Or else, I will have to find someone to fix it. What a dilemma! :D

The Good Samaritan

I was on my way home from work. My usual route is the fastest means of transportation - the Metro Rail Transit. I thought it's going to be an ordinary routine going home but it turned out to be different.

I was just waiting for the train to reach the Taft station, the last station where I'm supposed to hop out of the train. Just when I recognized a woman who seem to be not in good shape right across where I was standing. I came to her just in time when she fainted. Thankfully, some of the women in the train helped me carry her out. We laid her on a bench and massaged her hand and back and tried to wake her up. It was amazing how these strangers were willing to help out. I don't wanna leave the girl alone with the other women because you just can't trust anybody here in Manila. So I waited for her to feel better before I left her in the hands of the security guards on duty.

As soon as she's awake and able to walk, I bid goodbye. She thanked me before I finally turned my back and left the train station. I still wonder what was wrong with her. Why she fainted. She must not have eaten breakfast this morning. Or it could be something else. I really don't know. I'm just glad I'm able to help her.

It reminded me of the parable of the good Samaritan. I was one today! I deserve a pat on my back. :)

The First Journey To The Rest Of Their Lives

I've been part of several weddings. Not mine, of course, but my friends' and cousins'. Each of the weddings tell different stories. Some are unexpected, some fairytell-ish. :)

I've seen brides go frantic. The preparation has to be months before the wedding so that everything is well taken care of. And it's important that you're financially ready. Unless you're lucky to have someone else, like a generous sister, who's kind and rich enough to pay for your wedding. I know a friend who has that kind of sister. :) So lucky!

Wedding preparations include the invitations, pre-nup photo shoots, the Church, the reception, food and the rings. Well, what if the soon-to-be-groom isn't available to shop with his fiance? Shopping for wedding rings for men can now be done online anyway, so the guy could just take his pick from the internet and save time. But some romantic dudes would prefer to do it together with his fiance. Except of course in shopping for the bride-to-be's wedding gown. :) Just thinking about the wedding preparation is exhausting. That's one of the reasons why I don't want to get married yet. LOL!

It's nice seeing these loved ones get hitched and seemed to be very happy on their wedding day. There may be stories behind what was going on before these two individuals get married but when the wedding bells are on, we, the witnesses, don't seem to care about that anymore. All we cared about was that we're proud of these loved ones of ours beginning a new journey in their lives together. With the person whom they're going to spend the rest of their lives with.

Not An Easy Sunday Morning

image from google.com

I slept all day yesterday because I was so tired after work. I didn't even set my alarm. Good thing I woke up at 6pm and still was able to do my Church obligations. Hurrah to that!

But, well, I can't sleep now. It's 2 o'clock in the morning and I feel like doing my laundry and cleaning up my room.  Too early to start my Sunday right, right? :D

I better do whatever is needed to be accomplished. It's better to do them early on because later it's gonna be another busy day. Easy like Sunday morning? Na ah!  :)
