Once In My Lifetime, I've Been There, Done That!

Singing my heart out with Kuerdas Band

I have not continued making my passion my profession when I decided to finally move out of my hometown. I love singing! I still do. But I haven't been on stage for quite sometime now. Although I can still be up on stage which very seldom happen. That's only when I go home to GenSan that I can jam with my former band mates and make the most of it.

Younger me before a gig, those were the days... :)

Music is my passion. Whenever I sing, I really feel relaxed and happy. And being up on stage doing "my thing" is a different kind of "high" for me. LOL! It's just happiness and bliss, you know.

But I haven't found that opportunity to be in a band anymore when I moved out of GenSan. I just can't find a band. Creating one is a very difficult thing to do in the first place. I'm very particular with people I want to work with. Not that I'm a music guru. I just want to work with someone who knows what he/she is doing especially when it comes to playing their own instruments. I wanted someone who knows if his guitar is out of tune or if the drummer needed to look for a talkbox for sale just so we can make great music together. The bassist definitely should know how to jive with the guitarist and the drummer. Everybody in the band should work together and at the same time enjoy their craft. They also should have that confidence up on stage and feel the music that they are playing. All because being in a band, people expect you to be a "pro". People expect you to be the masters of the show and make sure you make them not regret watching your gig after all.

A lot of times I miss doing what I really love most. I'm not getting any younger. I know that. :) And most times, I accept the fact that I wouldn't be on that stage anymore. I'm just glad that once in my lifetime, I've been there, on the limelight, having the best days of my life! :)

Friendship With Ai... :)

It is indeed amazing how you're able to find somebody you can get along with and enjoy doing a lot of things together. They are friends that come along your way the least you expect them. You understand each others weirdness, laugh at each other eccentricity. And always being there for each other even on those tough days. You may be different in a lot of ways but your friendship stays.

Thank you for your friendship, Dai! :)

Woke Up At The Wrong Side Of The Bed

I was really pissed when my boyfriend woke me up early last night. I set my alarm at 8 o'clock pm yesterday so I can get enough sleep. Then at about 6:45pm, there was a sudden banging at the gate. Sigh. It wasn't time to wake up yet. As soon as I opened the gate, he told me to change clothes because there was an errand he needed me to do at the Church. Geez! I really wanted to punch him in the face. First, the I was really mad at him last night but I didn't have a choice but to do the task since I was the only one who'd be able to do it. Or else, him and I will be screwed.

Anyway, I'm still glad I did the task last night because I won't have to wake up early tonight for the worship service. I've already accomplished that last night after I was done with the task my boyfriend asked me to do. It just was difficult to wake up at the wrong side of the bed, I guess. I hope he won't wake me up early this evening though.

Dreaming Of Paris!

Paris, according to Wikipedia, is considered to be one of the world's major cities. It is highly liveable and it's one of the world's leading tourist destinations. When people say Paris, it means luxury, beauty and elegance!

Everyone, including myself, dream to be able to travel in Paris and see the beautiful Eiffel Tower myself. Oh! Speaking of Eiffel Tower, I read once about a woman who married it! I know it's crazy but true! She must have been in total awe of the beautiful landmark to even marry it. Of course, that hasn't occurred to me yet! Lol!

Anyway, I wonder how it is to live in Paris. If ever I get that chance to reside in that beautiful place, I won't mind if I work two jobs in a day just so I can experience life in that beautiful place. It must be expensive there especially living in a luxury apartments paris. But I know it's going to be worth all the expenses. Not only will you be able to see the magnificent structures and landmarks, you'd also be able to learn their culture first hand. Sigh! I'm becoming all the more dreamy.

I have some friends who were able to travel out there. How I wish I can be as lucky as them and have that much money that I can travel to all the beautiful places in world - and that include Paris!

I'd Rather Be On A Train

I sometimes have a hard time going home from work since I get out of the office during rush hour. I ride the train because I don't want to deal with the traffic on a bus along EDSA. It will only make me nauseous and get too exhausted when I get home.

I'd prefer riding on the Metro Rail Transit (MRT), the train which takes me home in less than an hour. Sometimes though, when it's overly crowded, I don't get home early. I have to endure being a very long queue and sometimes have to squeeze myself in a very crowded train just so I can get home. I also have to deal with passengers who are stubborn and treat the steel stanchions like they're plastic stanchions placed as barricade on the train stations so that people will observe orderliness. Some people are just stupid enough and don't follow simple instructions. Sometimes I just understand them because maybe some of them are really in a hurry. I just don't like it if those people hurt the other passengers in the train.

The agony on the train doesn't really happen often. I'm just glad that I won't have to deal with the stress at the train station on my way to work or at the beginning of my day. Even if I get exhausted, it doesn't matter because I'd just sleep it off when I get to my home sweet home.

Positive Vibes On A Chilly Monday!

It's a cold Monday morning. I just went out and grabbed a bite-to-eat for breakfast. Quite a chilly morning and loved it!I primarily planned on running earlier today but changed my mind. I got lazy, that's all.

I'm not at all ranting about the chilly Monday morning because I know so well that it's freezing cold on the other side of the world today. :D

Just plainly having positive vibes on the first day of the week! God bless us all!

Not That Ordinary Girl

When I was a kid, I'm not like the other little girls who'd rather stay at home and play with my dolls. Even though my father bought me several lovely dolls to play with, I'd prefer playing guns and play hide and seek with my brothers and other kids outside the house. My dolls were more likely bought as decors in our living room back in those playful days. When my younger brother got interested in messing up with all the toys, he decided to also destroy my dolls. I didn't even cry when he did that. LOL!

As I was growing up, I have always been a girl who loves the outdoors. I never stayed home and read sets of romantic pocket books like other teenage girls do back in the days. I read books but really didn't get addicted to them. I read a little bit and then go outside and hang out with friends. That's why when I went to college and  I don't have enough to sell textbooks online when I needed some extra cash. So I joined several bands to earn extra cash during college days.

What this post wanted to say is that I'm not that ordinary girl who grew up in a very feminine way. I've always been a "tomboy". Well, not the lesbian type but I really get along well with boys. I've always been extrovert and wanted to always get out of my comfort zone. But now that I'm a grown up, I'd rather wanted to stay at home. Well I guess it's not because I don't want to be the extrovert type of girl anymore. I just don't have enough money to spend for me to be out and have fun somewhere. I still have that I idea that it's always fun being outside and explore. I hope I can be out and about again soon.

Saving For My Future

Putting some of our money into savings accounts or deciding on putting them for annuity funds should always be one of our priorities as soon as we get our salaries. That's because one thing is certain, when we grow old and retire, we would want to enjoy the money that we earned and not have financial difficulties come the old age.

Saving has been my goal for this year. I promised myself to save some part of my salary for my future. It's a good new year's resolution, isn't it?

I have been working for years now but I never really thought of saving some of my money. I threw some of 'em all away although most of them are well spent. I guess it's one trait I got from my father. He's a guy who doesn't save. He likes spending them. Not like my Mother who's so keen into putting her money on good investments - more of purchasing some small pieces of land which we know will become a good source of income in the future.

I actually still don't have that much of savings which is understandable because I just started putting some money on savings last month. Although the previous five years, I've already invested for a pension plan which will become useful after 20 years. It is a good investment for sure. Now that I'm into "saving" money again, I'm actually thinking about putting it in a trust fund which is like those of american annuities. I don't just want my money to lay in the bank without earning interest rates. It would be better to put it in time deposits or annuities.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to do once I have enough savings. For now, there's still a lot of saving to do. So help me, God. :)
