I'll be singing in a wedding in few hours. I just downloaded the songs that I'm going to sing. I got a lot of things to do today but I don't worry that much yet. LOL!

Here's one of the songs I'll be singing in the wedding later, my share for Music Monday... :)

The Piano And Me

Of all the music instruments that I was able to learn to play (flute, bass and acoustic guitars, a little bit of drums, piano when I was in high school), piano was my favorite.

I always loved those times when I was left all alone in a big auditorium playing the piano by myself. It felt like it was a romance with music. LOL! I just love the feeling of being able to play the piano and not realize I spent the whole afternoon memorizing my recital pieces and practice. It was my loved hobby at that time. Piano was actually the first instrument that I was able to play. Unfortunately, I never owned one so I did not continue learning to play it.

I am still very much interested in learning to play the piano again. If I will have a lot of money in the future, I might consider buying one of the Suzuki digital pianos that are on sale online. I think it's a good investment for me because I wanted to be a piano teacher to young people when I grow old. I can even teach my future children and grand children to play. LOL! I'm being dreamy again.

Happy weekend everyone!!!

Overwhelming Job

Work is getting overwhelming. I'm able to finish all my tasks on time though but whenever I'm done with everything, I always feel exhausted.

In the middle of entering faxed orders for our customers, I also take incoming calls and do other tasks. It's multi-tasking at its best here. LOL! I just don't like it when our bosses calls us for a meeting or oblige us to be present in conferenced calls like that of ActConferencing.com teleconferencing, although it's beneficial for us. If only they would pay us for the additional hours that we stay in the office, it wouldn't be a problem. However, that's not the case. Sometimes just to get everything done, I will still have to stay more than an hour at the office. Sigh.

I hope that our work won't be that much anymore beginning tomorrow since one of our team mates will be back from her 2 weeks vacation. We also hope and pray that our management will hire someone new to help us with our job.

Barkin' Like A Dawg

I got swollen tonsils again this week. I went straight to the doctor yesterday after work. As expected, I was given medications - antibiotics and was told to gargle Bactidol twice a day. I hate being sick because it makes me feel drowsy all the time. I don't want to be absent from work because I won't be able to get the incentive for complete attendance. So even if I'm barking like a dog at my work station (coughing because of itchy throat), I still report at work despite not feeling well. I don't want to stay at home anyway.

One more shift for this week and it's my vacation leave. At least I got 3 days to recuperate. I hope I won't be doing much this weekend so that I can take a rest.
I'm feeling a bit stressed out from work, I guess. One of our team mates resigned from her post. Some of her work loads were passed on to me. I'm still trying to adjust to additional work load.

It's Thursday and it's Church time later tonight. I better go to bed early so that I'd wake up on time for Church. I hope I won't oversleep this time around. :)

Happy Thursday everyone!

The Horse Whisperer

I have seen several horse movies but this one particular movie entitled "The Horse Whisperer" really touched my heart. It was a 1998 movie film which starred the young Scarlett Johansson, Grace Maclean, a distraught teenager who's leg got partially amputated because of an accident with her traumatized horse. Both of them needed to heal from the trauma of the accident so Grace's Mom, Annie (Kristin Scott Thomas) desperately seek help from a "horse whisperer", Tom (Robert Redford).

The film was shot in the Montana hills. It's funny that roads over there don't have road signs. The movie showcased beautiful mountains, locations, horses, english horse tack, and also ranches with horses and cows.

The movie made me wonder, is there really a horse whisperer?

Cheesy Thought For A Dream House

My Kido and I were walking together last night and saw a beautiful house on our way to Church. It's a big house. For me, it would look better if it has a yard and if it's surrounded with a fence. But he thought it was beautiful.

He told me he dreams of a big house in the future. He wanted it fully furnished with basement tiles and a bungalow. What a dream. I just smiled. I just forgot to tell him we actually have the same dream.

LOL! What a cheesy thought! :)

Goodbye Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston died at age 47. She was found dead at a hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. I bet you all heard about the news.

Whitney is one of the great musicians that deserved a second chance. Unfortunately, she was not able to overcome drug addiction. Hence, she was not able to make a come back to the lime light. I was hoping she did.

Goodbye Whitney Houston. Thank you for your music.

My Privacy In Exchange To Economy

I've been thinking of ways to lessen my expenses. I want to make sure that I'm able to save some of my money in the bank. I've been doing my budgeting whenever it's payday and make sure that I'm able to manage my expenses until the next payout.

I decided to stop paying for unnecessary bills like having my internet and phone line uninstalled since I don't have a laptop anymore. I also make sure that I'll be spending money to important things first before allotting for my personal luxury.

I'm planning to buy led light bulbs because these type of bulbs are energy efficient and is good for the environment. I'm pretty sure that it's going to help lessen my monthly electric consumption. I also don't use my electric stove that often anymore. I just buy my food at the cafeterias nearby. Not only was I able to save money, I also was able to save time and effort in preparing for my meal. Although I miss home-cooked meal sometimes. I just get a taste of real meal whenever I'm at Kido's house. His Mom cooks good food, you know.

Moving in with a room mate is also economical for me. The question is, am I really willing to sacrifice my privacy? I also think I'm not used to having a room mate anymore. Well I don't know yet. I still might change my mind about this.

Better To Be Safe Than Sorry

My boyfriend and I were somehow traumatized with the "house break-in" incident which happened in October of last year. We were together when we arrived in my pad from a Chruch event that we both participated in. As soon as I opened the gate we saw my front door unlocked and my laptop gone. Looking back, I was totally devastated with what happened.

The next day, my kido changed the locks on my door. Even made three locks on it. You can say it's a paranoia but who can blame him?

Up until now, me and all the other boarders in that compound are very cautious about making sure lock the gate whenever we go in and out even if it's just for a short while. All of us don't want to experience what had happened last year. Sometimes though, I still can't help but think whether it was an inside job or not. I will have to put locks on my door even if I will just have to use the bathroom. I don't have mesa safes in my room to place my valuable stuffs in. I know it's a bad thing to do but you can't just trust anyone these days.

The experience taught me a lot of things. But sometimes I'm just too lazy to put double locks on the door. My boyfriend has to scold me whenever he knew about my stubborness. He's right anyway. It's always better to be "safe" than sorry. :)
