Internet Installed!

Another achievement I made recently is having my DSL internet and landline installed. I'm glad I bumped into a Globe Telecommunications agent doing his job on the street (installing and giving out pamphlets) las Sunday morning. He talked me over about getting the deal, signed some paperworks and voila!: had my internet connection installed in no time. What a relief.

Goodbye internet cafes and noisy boys playing cyber games. I'd be connected online most of the time now in the comforts of my home and watch my favorite TV shows at the same time. LOL! That's multi-tasking.

All I need to do is to have my computer reformatted so it will work better. Hopefully I'd get online opportunities and earn some more moolah!

Goodluck to me! :D

Acquisitions! Thank You 13th Month Pay!

A new 20" TV, a DVD player, and a microwave oven for my Mom are three of my most recent acquisitions yesterday! Thank God for 13th month pay, I was able to purchase all these! :D And thank you to my reliable boyfriend who so willingly accompanied me at Raon, Quiapo so I can purchase the appliances in much lower cost!

My Mom won't get bored anymore and she will get updated with her soap operas during her stay here in Manila. And I hope she will be happy with the microwave oven that she has been asking me about the last time she was here. I was finally able to purchase one for her.

Meanwhile, lemme enjoy my movie marathon! :D

Won't Be Gloomy On A Lunar Eclipse

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA): "A penumbral eclipse of the moon will occur on Nov. 28 and 29". And that's 8:12 p.m tonight until 12:53 a.m tomorrow. The moon is expected to be darker and will be visible here in the Philippines according to news.

I'm quite excited to witness it. The last time I have seen an eclipse (which was solar) was back when I was a kid. It was elementary days and everyone thought, in our young minds, that the world is going to end. LOL!

Tonight I'll witness a lunar eclipse for the first time which will be the last eclipse of the year. I'll be seeing it after our mid-week Church service. Speaking of Church service, there's a lot I want to thank God for today: plenty of blessings and my Mom's recovery. My Mother is going to be released from the hospital today. :D

Eventhough the moon is darker tonight, I won't feel gloomy at any way for sure. Thank you, Lord!

Sound System For My Boyfriend

While my boyfriend and I were at Quiapo, Manila shopping for my appliances, he also looked around for his amplifiers which he was planning to purchase next year. He so wanted to complete his sound system which include audio mixer, amplifiers, powered speakers, microphones and the types of stands like that from ultimate support at Musician's Friend. He kept saying he will be able to earn from it. Besides, completing his sound system is one of his dreams and he's very positive he will be able to complete his goal next year. His optimism makes me smile. As a girlfriend, all I can do is support him morally if not financially. I really hope he can make one of his dreams come true next year. :D

Helping A Friend Find The DRESS

A friend of mine asked me to do her a favor. She's getting married next month and she doesn't have a wedding dress yet. She and her soon to be sister-in-law are going to the dress maker come Friday and she doesn't have a design for her wedding dress. She asked me to search for nice wedding dresses online. Thanks to Google, I was able to gather a lot of wedding dresses. I have my own favorites though that I think will look nice for my friend.

This...

And this... :)

This one is also nice...

I still got a lot of pictures that I saved on my phone. I'm so excited to show them all to her.

Dreamy With LED TV

As my boyfriend and I were looking around for a new television set at Quiapo, Manila (a place where one can purchase branded appliances and electronics at a very affordable price) I always get enticed with LED television sets. They really look cool and LED TVs give you the feel of watching movies in action in a bigger and wider screen. I can't help but imagine myself in my room looking at my own LED TV hanging on the wall with its mounts purchased from Premier Mounts Store. I can have fun watching all the movies I want on my mounted LED TV.

Once in a while, my boyfriend catch me dreaming while looking at those types of TV sets and then shove me away from them since they are all expensive. LOL! We ended up buying the 20" flat screen TV which is way cheaper than my dreamed television set. :) I'll get one of those maybe some other time.

Being Productive On A Long Weekend

I was productive on my 4-day long weekend. I didn't splurge. Instead, I cleaned up my house, did my laundry, jogged in the morning and accomplished my Church obligations. I'm so proud of myself! :D

Just when I thought everything is going well when my brother sent me a text message telling me that my Mom is not feeling well. You can read about my post here.

She's doing better now although confined in a hospital in General Santos City. I still worry about her because she tend to forget about her diet. Sigh.

I hope my Mother will recover fast. I also hope I will be able to continue being productive these coming days.

Alternative Exercise Regimen?

I've been having a hard time losing weight. I always ask my friend, Irene, to jog with me at the Mall Of Asia grounds since we both are trying to lose weight but I'm always the one who don't wake up early especially when it's our day off from work. I find it hard to wake up early lately. I just wanted to doze off to la-la-land.

Maybe we have to change our exercise regimen? :D We've already planned to go swimming at Pasay Complex which is just a 15-minute ride from our place but it remained a plan. And I'm thinking about other types of exercise regimen like kickboxing and horse riding perhaps? LOL! Those are more exciting and fun yet are expensive alternatives! We still have to buy pairs of gloves or a pair of riding boots spend some money to enroll for the classes.

Geez! How are we able to lose weight if we are this stubborn? I guess I'm talking about myself. Irene isn't that hard-headed like me. She had already been on a no-carbs-diet for 2 weeks while I keep eating rice. :D I feel deprived when I haven't eaten rice the previous day. So I indulge on it the next day and the following day and so on and so forth. I know I won't be successful with losing weight if I keep doing this. Sigh.

Fell In Love With A Song

My boyfriend and I watched the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. It was amazing! The twist that they added on the story was really heart-thumping! Something that I never expected. And I fell in love with the song entitled "A Thousand Year" by Christina Perri. I couldn't get enough of it. LOL!

I'll make a separate post about my take on the movie itself. Let me keep listening to this song first:

Munching On My Peanut Butter

As I await for my boyfriend to meet up with me after work, I munch on my favorite crunchy peanut butter. I'm a bit stressed out already because he's late for a good a reason anyway. I can't do anything but wait and try to relieve the stress by consuming most of the peanut butter left for my sandwich. :D

pic from google

Other than cheese, the peanut butter is one of my favorites nowadays. Not only because it's cheaper that other sandwich spread, I've read a lot about it having great benefits especially now that I'm trying to lose weight.

I'm not really sure though that eating just the peanut butter without the wheat bread is a good idea. :D

If Only I Have Internet Connection At Home

If I only have internet connection at home, I'd be spending time cleaning up my blogs during the long weekend since it's Thanksgiving Day on Thursday and we don't have work on Friday. Sigh. Unfortunately, I can't do that errand yet.

If I only have a DSL connection installed, I wouldn't miss some online opportunities. I may have had a second or third job just by having a good connection at home. I might even make new web site for my other interests and passion.

I got a lot of "If Only's". The question is, will I have the energy to do all that I plan to do if only I have internet connection at home? :D

Excited For Hansel And Gretel

There are a lot of great movies I've missed to watch. I've been busy and when I'm not busy, I'm out of budget for a movie ticket. :( I am yet to watch The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2, hopefully, this weekend. I'm already excited.

Now here comes another movie that I should not miss to watch. It's not showing yet but knowing that this famous story that my late Aunt Alming had been telling us when we were kids is going to be on theaters soon with modern twists made me all the more excited to set my eyes on! Just seeing the trailer made me remember my favorite Aunt who passed away about a couple of months ago.

Anyway, here's the amazing trailer of the movie Hansel and Gretel:

Noise On Internet Cafes

I blog at internet cafes nowadays since I don't have an internet connection at home yet. I can't decide whether or not I will have it installed in my place right now. Maybe I should so I can take advantage of more good opportunities online. I will definitely follow up on my DSL application on one local carriers here one of these days.

Back to blogging at internet cafes... It sucks! Especially when kids who play games shout at each other like they're two houses apart. They curse and shout and bang on their decks. Geez! I really can't concentrate even if I use my earphones and play the music from my phone or from the internet on high volume. The noise just add up. I don't own an affordable beyerdynamic dt 770 pro from guitar center yet. I guess I have to purchase one while I still make use of the internet on cyber cafes. I won't be doing this for long hopefully.

No Idea For A Birthday Gift

It's a friend's birthday yesterday. Yet we're going to celebrate it today. We still don't have a concrete plan on how we're going to spend it actually. We can't figure what will make our birthday celebrant happy. :)

I will be meeting up with a girl friend and check the mall out for a gift. See? We haven't even have a gift yet! LOL! I hope we can find something that he will like! Good luck to us!

I'll See You Soon Bella And Edward!

I've been a fan of the Twilight Saga. I read the books 2 years ago and watched all the series. And now the final installment!

Geez! Makes me want to cry. But heck! I'll definitely be at the cinema to watch this!

I'll see you soon, Bella and Edward!

Brandon's Request

I just got off the phone with my nephew, Brandon. When his dad taught him to ask a gift from  me: a fire truck toy car and a bicycle, that's what he was babbling about whenever I call.

"Tita Allena, give Brandon a fire truck and a bicycle please!", that's what he always say to me over the phone with his cute voice.  LOL! He's really adorable. I bet if his dad taught him about asking for a a stuff toy and ask for plush animals here in Manila, he would include that on his statement for sure. I wonder what else he would want me to bring him when he knew how to really express himself. :D

Bonding with Brandon

I just can't wait to cuddle my nephew and spend a lot of time with him on my homecoming next month! I miss you, Brandon! Very much!

Booked An Expensive Plane Ticket

I already booked my plane ticket 2 weeks ago. I asked my cousin Michelle to book it for me so she can charge it on her credit card. In that way I have a month to pay her off. Besides, I don't own a credit card. Thankfully, Michelle is kind enough to book the ticket for me.

I spent more than Php6,000 for the ticket that wasn't on sale when we purchased it. And here came Cebu Pacific offering several tickets on sale! It made me grit my teeth a little bit. But I can't do anything about it anymore since the ticket was already purchased. Sigh. If I only waited for a few days so I can take advantage of the sale.

I better try my luck next time then. I'll just look forward to my homecoming and seeing my nephew Brandon. :)

Take On The Glasses

I was in high spirits when I came to work last night. All smiles and was able to put on my make up before going to work.

When I came to my desk, my team mates were fussing about the eyeglasses that one of our colleagues brought. They were stylish glasses that she's selling and we all went ahead and tried them on. I've been trying to find customized sunglasses that will fit me but I couldn't find one. So we decided to take pictures of us with some of the glasses on.

                                                              All smiles with the girls

                                                                  And went solo...

Nah! It doesn't fit me.

I had fun taking pictures with my colleagues though. About the glasses, I'll keep looking! :)

Blissful Friday

OMG! I just discovered something today! LOL!

I'm happy not just because it's Friday but also because I'm able to update my blog. I hope this is going to be something that I can do everyday from now on. Keeping my fingers crossed for that!

And this one other thing that keeps making me blissful is....

Tadaaan! Haha!

Happy Friday everyone!

Postponed Meet Up With A Friend

I'm supposed to meet up with a friend yesterday. But due to personal matters I have to attend to, the meet up didn't happen. I know my friend is already disappointed with me. I really want to see her but I just don't have the time.

I'm thinking about making it up to her this weekend. What am I going to bring her though? I think she hasn't quit smoking yet so el producto cigars would be a good idea for a gift. Or buy her a tote? Sigh. She's got a lot of that already. I have to look around the malls later, I guess.

I hope she's not mad at me yet.

Happy and Excited Me! :)

I am so excited about the upcoming holiday season! My vacation leave has already been approved by my supervisor. I just can't wait for December to come so I can spend time with my family back in the  province!

My Kiddo isn't coming along so we will be spending a lot of time together before I leave for home. It's  more than a month of preparation anyway before my scheduled flight. We got a lot of time to spend with each other before my homecoming. Here's one of those simple yet happy days of my life:

Xylie's 1st Rasta Birthday!

It was Xylie Jash's 1st birthday celebration last Saturday, October 13. He is Lainy's Morning Dew, her nephew. Our nephew, basically since Lainy and I are cousins.

Since I'm far from where the celebration was held, I just sent Xylie a cash gift. :D I can't really think of what gift to give to a 1 year old boy.:D

Anyway, Xylie's birthday was a Rasta party as expected. It was colored green, red and yellow! Most of the kids wore rasta clothing except for, uhmmm... our Brandon.

My brother's idea. Sigh! :) But he's still adorable, don't you all think? :D

Reggae music was played from splendid sounding Amps was heard all over the place for sure. A lot of friends and relatives with their kids were there to party with Xylie. I can see so much happy faces during the party. Too bad I wasn't there to witness the everything but I know it was so much fun!

Happy birthday, cutie Xylie! May you grow up to be a kind and obedient boy to your Mom and Dad! Mwahugsss! :D

Can't Wait for December

Another family celebration will be held this coming December. We're all excited about it. Our cousin, the doctor in the family, is finally going to tie the knot with his long time girlfriend. We're all happy for him.

That's going to be another wedding homecoming for me. I have to start losing weight or else, I'll be the "fat girl" on the photos! LOL! I want to look good on every family gatherings, that's all! So I better start my diet and exercise. I really hope I'll find time to exercise.

I'm already excited about my homecoming! I miss Brandon very much and I can't wait to spend time with our little boy! I can't wait for December! :)

Safety On The Road

The road is one of the most dangerous places. No matter how careful you drive a car or a motorcycle, others are just plain careless and stupid on the road. That is why we use safety gears and equipment so that if ever road accidents happen, we won't be the ones on the critical stage.

For those who own a car, they should always use their seat belts and have air bags installed in their steering wheels.

For motorcycle owners, helmets like that of nolan helmets at compacc.com and complete safety gear should always be worn on the road. Two-wheeled vehicles are now known to be the most prone to road accidents nowadays.

Safety should always be a priority especially on the road!

Planning On Renovating My Small Pad

When at work and didn't have much to do, I browse websites that are about decorating small apartment spaces. I'm planning to somehow renovate my small space and get tips on how organizing stuffs. I get excited that if I only have the finances, I would have started renovating my little room. Unfortunately, I still have to wait and maybe purchase some of the tools I need little by little. I will have to start buying from small ones like nails, then hammers and hydraulic pumps. :D At least I can start from the very least, right? My Kiddo is very much willing to help me out. I don't want to move to a bigger apartment because my salary wouldn't be enough to pay for bigger rent. I don't want to spend a lot of money for rent alone. Thus, plan on renovation instead! :)

I'm containing my excitement. While waiting, I'll browse the internet and check on different styles of decorating small studio apartments.

C'mon! Let's Jump From Space!

Falling from space - that was the craziest thing to do, don't you all think? But it was something that the daredevil Austrian Felix Baumgartner accomplished. A record breaking death-defying stunt made in history.

Of course, it was something that him and his crew prepared for for months. It was scary because anything terrifying can happen during his free fall jump. Fortunately, according to news, Baumgartner was in freefall for four minutes and 20 seconds and safely landed on the dessert of US state of New Mexico yesterday. It must have been a nerve-racking experience for the veteran skydiver.

"When you're standing there on top of the world you become so humble... The only thing is you want to come back alive," - Felix Baumgartner.

I still think it was crazy! Geez!

Dealing With My Mother's Cleaning

My Mother dear has been here in Manila for more than 2 weeks now. She had an eye surgery when she got here. She's alright now but still have to undergo 2 more surgeries which will take place next month and the month after that. That means we will have to bear each others presence in my small space. LOL!

Honestly, we quarrel a lot. She kept cleaning up my room but disorganizing everything. To the point that I can't find my things anymore. She kept messing up my arrangements. I don't like looking for my things especially when I'm in a hurry just because they're not in the same place anymore. You all know what I mean. I'm aware that my mom is just trying to help out but most of the time her help end up being a nuisance for me. She's all over my things already and dig on my personal stuffs. Sigh. You might think I'm being rude but I really didn't mean to.

What if I'll purchase japanese puzzle boxes? It's where I can place all my personal things and she wouldn't figure out how to open it. We won't quarrel that much anymore if that will be the case. But for now, I will have to deal with my Mom's mess.

Happy Birthday Bheb Ko! :D

Dearest Bheb Ko,

Geez! That's all there is to say for now! :D

A Busy 2 Weeks

My Mom has been here in Manila for 2 weeks now. She's here to seek 2nd opinion to an eye doctor. She's not convinced on the treatment that her doctor in the province has been doing to her. So she decided to have a doctor check on her here in Manila.

We've been through series of check ups last week. She also underwent angiology and we're supposed to get the result of the test this week. Unfortunately, she got sick. Her sugar level went high because she did nothing here but it plenty of food. I've been telling her to go on a diet but she's too stubborn.

She's at the hospital right now. Her plans for follow up check ups to those doctors will have to resume next week. She's got a lot of plans, actually. She wanted to also go to a dermatologist and get a facial mud mask and have her warts removed. I don't think she'll be allowed anyway because of her Behcet's condition.

I will see her later at the hospital. My brother is the one taking care of her right now. While I take care of my nephew with the help of my boyfriend. :D

Obviously, it's been a busy two-weeks for me.

New Lappy! Congratulations To Me!

Yahoo!!!

New laptop purchased and is now ready to use!!! I'm so happeeeee! LOL!

Finally I'd be able to go online. I hope my Tattoo broadband will work in my room though. I'm still out right now and just excited to navigate my new lappy and blog about it!

Congratulations to me! :D

Heavy Rains And Flooding

The rain is pouring so heavy outside! Geez! I hope our management suspends work for tonight. I don't want to go to work with the dangers of the heavy rain and the flooded street. Some areas here in Metro Manila are already flooded. Evacuees have already gone from their houses especially those who lives near the riverside.

I still haven't reached my home. I am yet to find out if my room is already flooded as well. I hope not.

To those living in Metro Manila, let's all be safe tonight!

The Video Camera Dilemma

I'm in charge of taking videos of tomorrow's event. I'm hoping I will make a good job out of it. I'll make sure to take the best shots on all the activities prepared by us - the committee for tomorrow's event.

I realized that since I'll be the camera girl tomorrow, who will be recording my performance when I set my foot on stage? LOL! What a dilemma! I hope one of my friends will bring a zoom h4n handy recorder or just take a video of me singing on stage. :D I want to post my performance online. I miss doing that!

Who among my friends will take the initiative of taking my video? I too shy to ask! LOL!

Excited To Wear Lainy's Pre-Used Clothes

I finally got the clothes I shopped from Lainy's online store: The Fab Chic's Closet! It was delivered by a local carrier the other day. It was one of the reasons I didn't get enough sleep because I was excited to get hold of the clothes I've been meaning to receive!

I washed them the same day that I received them! It has been raining lately and the clothes are still wet right now. I can't wait to wear one of them one of these days especially during our worship service. I'll make sure to take pictures of myself wearing those fab and chic dresses!

Team Building With Colleagues This Weekend

It's been raining cats and dogs lately. And then our manager at work decided to have our team building party. Perfect timing! LOL! I can imagine us doing our team building soaking wet. We are scheduled to have it this weekend at Caliraya in the province of Laguna which is about 2 hours drive from here in Manila.

I'm one of the assigned committees for the team building. We discussed a lot of activities that we were preparing for Saturday. There are a lot of exciting outdoor games that we're hoping that everyone are going to participate in actively. I think we won't be using some of the venue's amenity like the pool. No one would want to swim in this cold weather. I don't even think the management of Caliraya would have the pool open during this time of the year. They must have cleaned up their pentair pool pump and the pool itself. Summer is too far ahead, anyway.

I'm a bit excited about the team building because I'm going to perform. I hope they will like whatever I'm going to sing and enjoy them. I just want to have fun this weekend with my colleagues! :D

I Love Mornings No Matter The Weather

The sun hasn't really shone it's rays for days now. It's still windy outside and the rain kept falling from time to time. I like the cold morning breeze but I just hope it's not going to rain very hard because I don't like going home in the mornings fighting the rain with my umbrella and going through the flooded streets of Metro Manila.

I don't go straight home in the mornings, actually. I always drop by my Kiddo's house, chat with his Mom and Dad and then give my Kiddo a big hug. Sometimes even wake him up for breakfast. :D Just like what I did today!

Despite the weather, I'd be coming home later with a big smile on my face. I love mornings!!! :D

The Back Up Plan on HBO

HBO has been showing the movie The Back Up Plan. I've already watched it 2 years ago since JLO is one of my favorite actresses when it comes to romantic comedy. The movie gives me the same "kilig" feeling. It's a shivery, chilling feeling, a "feel good" one that you feel when you're infatuated or in love.

JLO played as Zoe, a single woman who decided to get artificial insemination. On the same day, she met Stan (Alex O'Loughlin) whom she accidentally met in the taxi. By coincidence or fate, the ran into each other once again in a farmer's market. The handsome Stan was selling cheese. :D When they met at a pet store again, Stan took advantage of the opportunity to as Zoe on a date which turned out to be a disaster yet a fun dinner date. To make things up with Zoe, Stan invited her to come to his farm in the weekend. Later he found out that Zoe is pregnant. He was shocked with the confession but stayed anyway.

There were several ups and downs that they had to go through in the movie. Just like normal couple, they quarrel a lot. Until they gave up on each other but still got together because Zoe found out the Stan was really in love with her because of a Bumbleride's double stroller. He asked the company to make a stroller for Zoe's twins.

Like all the other love stories, they both ended up together and lived happily ever after. :D

I'm not a good storyteller! LOL! You're going to see the movie on HBO this hole month of July anyway. :D

Check Out Lainy's And Raquel's Online Stores

I'm excited about receiving new sets of clothes I ordered from Lainy and Raquel. Well, those are pre-used clothes by these ladies which they decided to sell out online. They actually posted new sets of clothing on their online stores. I don't want to view them right now because I don't want to get tempted. I'm on a tight budget. It's the time of the month that I got a lot of bills to pay. :D

Anyway, here are Lainy's and Raquel's links on FB that you guys would like to check out and see if there are clothes you'd like to purchase. They are affordable clothes. Most of them, since pre-used, are sold half the price from mall price. You can all check 'em out on these links:

Happy shopping!

A Preggy Friend

I read a friend's status in Facebook. She just shout to the world out that she's pregnant. It's going to be her and her husband's first baby. Wow! Time really fly that fast. Isn't just few months ago that they exchanged titanium wedding bands and were so happy being married to each other? My friend looked so in love with her husband. I'm really happy for her.

And then I realized, when I come home in my beloved province, I'm the only one who's not married and not even pregnant! LOL! Most of my friends over there have a family of their own. I can just imagine the questions they would be asking me when we get together. :D

I'm happy for my friends and I can't wait to see them real soon!

Got Lazy Because I Have No Lappy

Finally, an update! I can't think of any reasons to tell you guys why I haven't done any articles in my blogs lately. I just got lazy. That's it. No excuses right now.

I'm getting tired of doing my online chores in internet shops. Yelling online gamers piss me off, especially the hard headed kids who can't play without shouting and cussing. You'll feel like shouting back at them to shut them off but you don't want to do that because it will make no sense. You'll just get yourself in trouble if you'll do that. And not to mention the awful smell because of improper ventilation in internet shops. You really can't concentrate on what you're writing when inside cheap internet cafes. Obviously, I prefer going to cheap internet cafes. I don't want to be spending that much, that's why I end up getting lazy doing my online chores.

Thanks to my boyfriend's sister who allowed me to use her laptop. I heard she and her sons are staying here for good, I can borrow her lappy once in a while until I have enough money to pay for a new laptop.

For now, I'll content myself sharing someone else's lappy. :)

Thank God For Good Bosses

I was making a report one day at the office. It was a heck of report. Something that I was really working hard for since I also have to present it to my bosses. When all of a sudden, my computer went dead on me! What a disaster! And there wasn't any server disaster recovery at that time! I really was too devastated because I haven't save whatever it is that I was doing.

So when I turned my computer back on, I had to do everything all over again. What a pain. I'm just glad that my bosses were kind enough to give me another week to finish my report and present it to them.

Thank God for kind bosses! :D

Oh Happy Day!

Today is indeed a Beautiful Day!

May we all have a blessed Sunday!!! :D

Legitimate Or Not?

My brother is already processing his requirements to work abroad. He asked me to visit the agency that's going to help him get the job overseas. Just to make sure the agency is legit since he's also going to send his placement fee soon. Scams are rampant here in the Philippines so we want to make sure that the money will be given to a  legitimate agency. We don't want to be victims of a scam.

I can sense that despite my brother's anxiety since he's leaving his son behind to work abroad, he's also excited about being able to practice his profession and also check out hi tech gadgets like a cpu cart overseas. He's a registered nurse and he can't land a job here in the Philippines. That's all Registered Nurses' agony here in our country. There's not enough employment here for them and even if they get employed, they won't be compensated well. So it's better to seek employment abroad.

As soon as he's able to pay his placement fee, he will be leaving soon enough since the agency will get the money they were asking from him. I will have to find out the legitimacy of this agency tomorrow. Or else, he will look for another one to help him get a job very soon.

Spending Out Of My Budget

My boyfriend and I went out to buy some groceries last night. I was planning to just purchase some bath accessories and also my bathroom necessities. But then, like the usual, whenever I get to the groceries section, I can't help but also buy the not-so-necessary things. So I end up going out of my budget. Sigh. Making my grocery list doesn't work for me, I guess.

But I got an idea. The next time I shop for my groceries, I won't fill my wallet with cash anymore. I'll just bring the cash intended for the list. I would be able to stick to the budget that way. :D I just hope there isn't any ATM machines available in the grocery store! LOL!

Rest In Peace, Comedy King

Dolphy, the Comedy King of Philippine Cinema died last night. He suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Filipinos are now mourning for someone who have made them laugh. Dolphy will truly be missed!

Piano Lessons For Brandon

The most soothing musical instrument that I was able to play was the piano. I took piano lessons when I was in high school. I was good at it. In fact, I received an award during my first recital.

I didn't mind playing the piano all by myself in a big auditorium during those days. I wasn't scared even if I was alone. I practiced my piece almost everyday during my free time. I just love it when it was my turn for the piano lessons. I was a teacher's favorite that time because according to her, I learn so fast. Maybe because I'm passionate about playing the piano.

Unfortunately, I just have memories of playing it. I didn't own a piano so the piano lessons just got wasted. Now that I'm a grown up and will be taking care of my nephew, Brandon, I'm planning to have him take piano lessons. This time, if ever he will be passionate about it like I did, I'll ask his parents to buy him an akai mpk49 keyboards or a real piano.

By then, my dream of playing it again will come to reality. I just hope I won't be too old to play it.

A Father's Love

I can just imagine how hard it would be for my brother to leave his son behind. He will soon be leaving to work as a nurse in the Middle East in 3 or 4 months from now. Although I'll be there to take care of his son and our Mother, I know as time passes by until he leaves, he secretly cries with just the thought of leaving.

He doesn't tell me  how he really feels for now.  My brother is too busy at home anyway. But when he leaves, I will definitely tell him that his son will be in good hands because I'll take good care of Brandon like my own. We will be sending him holiday cards and make sure to communicate and update him of any developments via the social networking sites.

I know words wouldn't be enough but being far from your loved ones is very difficult. He just have to sacrifice being away from his son for now.

Brandon Goes To School

My brother doesn't have a camera so he wasn't able to capture his son's first moments at school, unfortunately. If I was there, I would have taken pictures of my nephew wearing his uniform and his backpack. I would have captured how he looked on his first day in school.

My brother said he's been a good boy in his class. I just hope he really is.  I hope and pray he won't be a bully to his classmates when he gets comfortable with his fellow students.

I'm already imagining myself  bringing him to school and fetching him when it's done. I'm already excited to be able to personally take care of my nephew when my brother gets employed abroad. I'd be a very proud Aunt and help him out with his homework and studies. Geez! I'm really excited about my new life. :)

Busy Friday

I still haven't had enough sleep today. I spent 2 hours overtime at work this morning before heading to  my Kiddo and his family's place early this morning (my usual hang out after work) and slept for a couple of hours. Before I slept, I told my boyfriend to wake me up after 2 hours which he gladly did.

There are errands I had to accomplish: 1. finish my online chores and 2. buy a gift for a god son who's turning 1 year old tomorrow. I still haven't figured out what gift to give a 1 year old boy. When I get to the mall later on, I can't say there are a lot of Christmas ornaments here. Other than Christmas isn't around the corner yet and I'm not looking for a Christmas gift. I'll just cross the bridge when I get there then. I hope I can purchase something nice for baby Keon. One that his mother would love for him to use! LOL! It's my friend who has to appreciate the gift, that's a fact.

Anyway, it's friday! Last day for work week! I'd be busier tomorrow. I hope I can catch some sleep before I go to work tonight.

Directions For A Meet Up

It is so hard to locate your destination especially if it's your first time to ever set foot to an unfamiliar place. Not to mention the weather condition while trying to find your way to where you're heading.

My Kiddo and I just experience this difficulty when we headed to my cousin Michelle's place last Sunday. I have been there before but I commuted and it was morning when I went there. It's pretty easy to get the instructions if you ride on public transports. Unlike being on a motorcycle, not to mention the rain pouring so hard last Sunday evening. Kiddo haven't decided which motorcycle gps to buy so his motorcycle isn't equipped with one that evening. We have to make several stops, ask strangers and sometimes talk to Michelle and Jon over the phone for directions.

It wasn't an easy ride. But thankfully, we safely arrived at their place that night. Kiddo met Michelle and Jon for the first time that night and it wasn't bad. :)

Nothing Else Matters...

I've been in Manila for more than a week now. After my 6-day vacation, I was supposed to go to work last Thursday. But I got sick with flu and was really so tired waiting for my delayed flight in Davao City. My boss was kind enough to allow me to extend my vacation for another day. I was able to rest before going back to work the next day.

I was exhausted when I got here in Manila and was feeling so sad knowing that my boyfriend wasn't around that time. He also went home to their province in Marinduque to help build their home out there. The days turned into a week and that whole week, I was so darn missing him to the point that I was crying over him not being around. He wasn't even telling me when he was really coming home until he said yesterday he's on his way back here.

To cut the story short, we're together again now. :D I'm just glad to see him again. He lessens my worries especially that I've been thinking about my family these past few days. I worry about them too. Will talk about it some other time.

For now, I'm going to enjoy the day with my Kiddo. Nothing else matters for now. :)

Spending More Time With My Nephew

So happy to be spending time with my nephew, Brandon Zyl. :D I hope he doesn't grow up fast.

I wish I'd be able to spend more time with him on my next vacation. I'm almost leaving for Manila and I'm missing him already. Sigh!

6-Day Vacation Is Almost Over...

My 6-day vacation will be over tomorrow. I'd be heading to Davao today, my last stop, and then off to Manila tomorrow afternoon. Sigh! My vacation is indeed not enough.

I'll be buying some things for those special people back in Manila. I certainly won't be buying rosary beads personalized since my friends are not Roman Catholics. I might just bring some specialties from Davao City and checkout some other accessories (i.e. bracelets or t-shirts) made in Davao. I'm sure they'd love it.

For now, I'm making the most of the few hours I'd get to spend with my Mom, brother and the little kid. I'd be in Davao later.

Checking Out A Piece Of Property

My Mom and I are going to check the property she bought for me later today. It is a piece of land that she kept telling me about. She has been wanting me to see it but I just didn't have the time whenever I'm home. I'm just being stubborn most of the time. I hope we would be able to build a nice house in it with a balcony, a patio and a corner fireplace for the winter. Not that is snows here. It's just nice having a fireplace at home. :D

There's a lot of things my Mom would like to do today but we won't have enough time to do all of them. I'll just schedule another homecoming before the end of this year and make sure to accommodate whatever plans my Mom have.

I'm Home Sweet Home!

I'm on my 5th day of vacationing here at my hometown. I've been to places already just to see my loved ones. I can't get them all together in one place so I have to be the one to go to them (Polomolok, South Cotabato; Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat and General Santos City. I've been having a great time to say the least and wishing I will get to spend more time with my family. I only have less than 24 hours to spend time with my Mother, brother and nephew and I'll be off to Davao City tomorrow to see some more relatives. I haven't visited one place unfortunately. I owe my relatives in Tupi South Cotabato a visit. But I just don't have enough time. I know they'll understand.

Pictures are coming soon! So stick around! :D

A Worrier Mom.. :(

Since I got back home, my mother kept telling me about what my siblings and I should do especially with the money now that she's old and getting sick. She really think she's not going to live longer anymore. I don't like the thought. I always shrug her off whenever she say things like that. She worries too much. She even gets to the point of thinking about getting a funeral planning guide just so when she dies, we won't have to worry about finances that much. Duh! My mother... If you were her daughter, rolling your eyes will be like a normal thing to do at home. Most of the time I try to change the topic so that she won't be talking too much nonsense. What child would want to listen to a parent who talks about death when she's not even at her death bed yet? Maybe I just can't take the thought of it yet.

6-Day Vacation Is Not Enough

This is the only vacation here in GenSan that I won't be able to get a chance to jam with the Kuerdas Band on their gigs. I've been very busy spending time with my family, which is by the way worth it. :D Besides, I only have 6 days vacation so there's no doubt I can't be with the band even for just a night. I won't be able to play guitars with dulcimer strings on stage with them.

I'm thinking about taking a longer vacation on my next homecoming. 6-day vacation is not enough. In that way, I will have enough time to visit some more relatives and friends and most of all, I'd be able to sing on stage with Kuerdas. :D

Wednesday Sickly Post

I'm sick. I was on sick leave last night. I had splitting headache and got bad flu. I decided to send my boss a text message telling her I won't be able go to work last night.

I'm glad I had all the night to rest. I still have a weird voice right now. And I have to report back to work tonight. I wonder how my voice sounds like over the phone whenever I have flu. I wish I don't have to go to work tonight but I have to. Got a lot of things to accomplish. Sigh.

I hope to get well very soon. :(

Quelly's Blue Birthday Bash

A friend of ours, Raquel, celebrated her birthday the same day with Lainy's Mom - May 1st. She made a post-celebration last Saturday to accommodate us, her friends here in Manila. Raquel a.k.a Quelly has a been a family friend for years. :)
The birthday girl at the center of all 3 pictures
She decided to have a blue birthday bash. She wanted everybody to wear a blue top or at least a blue-accented top. I decided to wear the bluest blue. LOL!
Yours truly and Quelly
Quelly chose to celebrate her birthday at Hongkong Master Cook at the Seaside, Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City. It's just nearby my place so I didn't hesitate to be present at her birthday bash. The sumptuous meal was served on time. There were different kinds of seafood menu that was served. They were all yummy!

This is one big fish in a platter! :)

Everybody full after meal! :)
Belated Happy Birthday Quelly! Thanks for the oh so yummy treat!!!

T-shirt, Pants And Chuck

Outfits always have to be right not only for whatever occasions but also for the season. Since it's summer here in the Philippines, on our normal day to day life, we should still be aware of the right outfit to wear even if it's just a simple streetwear.

Personally, I'd prefer wearing shorts (not too skimpy shorts) when going out with friends especially if involves travelling. But if it doesn't, like just going to the malls, I'd prefer a t-shirt, a pair of pants and my fave pair of chuck. :)

Here's a picture of myself with my fave cousins at GenSan on a mall trip in a fine day. :D

What is your choice of outfit for a normal day?

In Between Summer And Rain

Summer is almost over. Thank goodness! I can't bear too much of the heat and humidity anymore. We've been experiencing rain-showers every now and then. Just enough to relieve the recent summer heat. It feels like we're in between summer and rainy season right now! :)

I watched the news the other night and heard from Kuya Kim, the famous weather forecaster here in the Philippines, that rainy season is going to be coming early on or before the last week of May. According to him, if we hated the summer heat, which by the way reached an excruciating 37 degrees Celsius four days ago, we will also hate the upcoming rainy season. Sigh. It's always the extreme summer and rainy seasons here in our country.

Although it seemed that the 37 degrees temperature is already unbearable, it couldn't beat the hottest temperature that happened in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (a city in one of the many provinces here in the Philippines) on May 11, 1969 which reached 42.2 degrees Celsius. Geez!

I'm enjoying today's weather. I think I'd be able to sleep soundly all day today. It's not humid at all!

I hope you all are having a fine Friday no matter the weather temperature! :)

Two Upcoming Birthday Bashes

I'll be home for my nephew's 4th birthday. I'm excited about it! Coincidentally, I'm also going to be home on my cousin - Mark's birthday bash. He's the main vocalist of the Kuerdas Band where I used to be a member.

Mark got very sick a couple of weeks ago and is now recuperating. He was struck by severe Pneumonia. We haven't talked on the phone yet. But when I get to see him soon, I'd joke about this being his second life. :D

I got a lot of options for my nephew's birthday gift. But I haven't thought about a gift for my cousin. I wonder if a maru guitar do exist. I wonder how much it costs. Just thinking...:)

Pending Washing Machine Acquisition

I can't stop thinking about my laundry. My hamper has been filled up with my worn clothes since last week. I've been having problems with doing my laundry lately. No matter how little clothes I wash, my hands kept getting bruised. :( I don't want to bring my clothes to the laundry shop because the people there just mess my clothes up.

I still haven't bought that washing machine I've been planning to buy since last year, that's why. Whenever I'm all set on my budget for the washing machine, something more important comes up. Just like my homecoming next month. I have to save money for my trip back home. :D

Anyway, I promise to save for the washing machine after my 5-day vacation next month. I'd start investing for appliances and furniture from that point onwards. I'm even planning to buy beautifully made rustic furniture once I find a better apartment soon. I got a lot of plans, obviously. :D

My 29th

There are so much blessings I'd like to thank God for on my birthday! He gave me good health all throughout the year. He gave me a great job. He gave me real friends that I can truly rely on. And most of all, he gave me my Kiddo! :D

Here are the birthday gifts on my 29th:

1. Ca$h from Lainy! :D

2. A photo collage from colleagues:

3. A cute caricature from my friend, Irene.
4. Food prepared by my Kiddo's Mom, Dad and sisters.

5. Flowers from my Kiddo.
6. And a kiss! LOL!
Thank you, dear Lord for the happiness! :D

Outdoor Birthday Bash For My Nephew

I was able to confirm my booked flight for next month's homecoming.I'll finally get to spend time bonding with my family after more than year. I'm coming home for my nephews birthday celebration. I've already asked my brother what celebration he's got in mind. He told me over the phone that he wanted us to be spending it at a resort. I'm still not sure if we'd stay overnight and chat around a bonfire or some outdoor firepits. My hyperactive nephew would love that, for sure.

I'm really excited about my homecoming. I haven't seen my family for a while. I'm happy to finally be able to be present at my 1st nephew's birthday bash!

Anxious Of Long Motorcycle Trip

I am my Kiddo's number one passenger on his motorcycle. When he bought it last year, I was his first passenger. He still wasn't my boyfriend at that time. I really never thought he will end up to be my boyfriend.

It was only once when him and I went together for a long motorcycle ride. It was when he asked me to accompany him to process some government documents on a nearby city for his employment. I remember that day to be very hot. You can just imagine how exhausting it was during that trip under the heat of the sun. The helmet he let me wear that day made me more uncomfortable. Although it's a need for safety, motorcycle helmets really make me feel anxious. But I had no choice, did I?

We didn't make trips like that anymore. I don't want to experience having back aches and getting burned for that type of trip. I'd rather commute the next time he'd ask for my company.

To Work Or To Go On Vacay???

I'm getting confused already. My vacation leave is approved for today. Yet, I still haven't made up my mind whether to go to Gumaca, Quezon Province and spend time with friends and my Kiddo or cancel the leave and work tonight to take advantage of the double pay...

My companions for the Gumaca trip have already gone there last night. I will have to travel alone and suprise my Kiddo. The thing is, since today is Good Friday, I'm not sure if there will still be a transport bus that's scheduled to travel today. I will have to find out later.

If ever I'd cancel the vacation leave, I'll have time to do my laundry, save money for my birthday and earn some more money because of the holiday pay. Sigh. But I'll be spending a day and a half vacation with my honeybunch... LOL! What a dilemma!

Getting Ready For A Sports Fest

My Kiddo is in charge of holding a Sports Fest in our church locale until next month. This is one of our projects while most the kids are on their summer vacation. It's the best time of the year to engage to sports, have fun and at the same time, bond with their parents and siblings and friends. It's an event that all the families at our church locale would love to be part of.

The other night, my Kiddo and I went to the mall to canvass, check on the prices on the sports equipment that we are planning to use for the activity. We got a bit disappointed because all of them are really costly.

We also checked on some sports equipment not included on the list of games that's lined up for the activity. Like golf clubs and printed golf balls and also rugby balls. Not everyone could afford to play the games anyway. They're costly. :) Just checkin 'em out, anyway!

I hope we will get the fund that we need for the activity. Most of all, we all wish and pray that the activity is going to be a success.

My Kiddo And The Negatives

I often stay at my boyfriend's place lately. He lives with her Mom and Dad and his sisters that's why I like going there. Not only am I able to bond with his family, I am also able to eat delicious home-cooked meals and help out on some house chores. :D I'm able to get to know my Kiddo a little bit more. Even his negative attitudes, unfortunately.

I found out that him being the youngest among his 3 siblings (not to mention being the only son), he's too stubborn. He's not a morning person and he doesn't do some tasks right away when being asked. He just do whatever pleases him. We even quarrelled over replacing the gaskets on the kitchen sink because he doesn't want to fix it right away. And he's the only person who can do it. I'm the type of person who wanted my commands to be obeyed right away because I don't like delays on whatever I'm doing. I feel like a nagging wife whenever we fight. LOL! After few more naggings and proddings, he will decide to fix it. That's when the fighting stops. :D And then we're back to being okay.

I can see that my boyfriend is trying to change his negative traits for our relationship to work. At least he's trying real hard. :) I also have a lot of bad attitudes and like him, I also try hard to eliminate those. It's just not that easy to change for someone but we have to at least try, right?

Despite the negative attitudes, we both love each other! And that's the most important thing, isn't it? :)

Just Another Boring Post

It's been a while that I haven't updated this blog. I got the usual excuses: been too busy with work, church and boyfriend and with a lot of things, really! The best one is: I don't have my own computer for me to be able to update my blogs and some of my dear cousin, Lainy's blogs.

The truth is, there are a lot of things to blog about but I really had a hard time grasping for the right words to say and type on the keypad. Most of the time, I'd just stare at the computer and eventually give up because I don't know how to start an article. :D Yeah, I always get that writer's block.
Sometimes I wish I'm one of those articulate bloggers who's writing skill is superb. Just like my cousin Lainy. :)

Anyway, I hope I'd be able to write something interesting in blogs. Some articles that will make you all stick around. Sorry if I bore you with this post. :D

Finally An Acne-Free Face! :)

I just realized, I haven't ranted about my acne problem on any of my blogs. Well, that is because there's not much to rant about anymore! :D

I went to see a dermatologist sometime in January of this year. As soon as the doctor saw my face that day, he did not hesitate to recommend anti-acne products. I was a bit hesistant because the products are costly but since the doctor told me that they are effective, I set aside my doubts. It's about time for me to trust a dermatologist.

I'll make a separate post about the products I'm using. For now, I just want you all to know that I'm confident with how I look. Although there are still acne scars but they're not too visible anymore. I can now have my hair pulled back in a ponytail without having to worry about people to stare at my face. A lot of my friends noticed the changes and the compliments keep on coming! :)

Seeking for a doctor's advise for the right beauty products is indeed the safest and the most effective way especially if women like myself have very sensitive skin type. I'm really thankful that I was able to find the right products to use. I finally have an acne-free face!

I Miss Watching Movies On My Laptop

When I still have my laptop in my possession, one of the things I used it for was to watch a movie online during the weekends. My DSL connection was fast and reliable at that time so I didn't really had too much problems about watching movies online.

But there were instances that some websites take a while to buffer and it frustrated me when it happens. I just realized why I did not make a vlc media player download so that I can just download whatever movies I want to watch and not get frustrated with whatever I was watching online. LOL! Too late for me to realize that when I don't have my laptop anymore. It got stolen last year when I wasn't home one Sunday afternoon.

I still don't know when I'd be able to purchase a new one. Because of the loss, I'm not able to update myself with the new movies this time around. Too bad! Tsk!

Senator Santiago Vs. Aguirre

This is by far the funniest scene at the impeachment! LOL!

Senator Miriam Santiago vs. private prosecutor Vitaliano Aguirre

Impeachment wouldn't be boring with Senator Miriam Santiago in it! :)

Happy Monday!!!
