Puerto Prinsesa Trip - Part 2

This post should've been done a few weeks ago. I was just too lazy to do it, I apologize. I still wanted to tell you guys about the continuation of my Puerto Prinsesa Trip!

Alright! Here it goes:

I was excited on the 2nd day of our Puerto Prinsesa vacation. As soon as my cousin Michelle and her husband Jon arrived at the airport around 12noon, we headed to the famous Underground River which is now one of the entries for the new 7 Wonders of Nature. I cast my vote already! :)

Anyway, it was about 2 hours drive from Puerto Prinsesa airport. Kuya Jon has been taking great pictures while we we were on our way. Here are some of them:

We still have to take a boat ride to be at the Underground River. I was already so amazed at how clean my surrounding is! Even the sea, it's all blue and green and I can definitely see the corals underneath the water! The weather wasn't good that day. Yet the rain didn't stop us from exploring Puerto Prinsesa!

There were plenty of tourists like us who were queued to see the Underground River. We have to wait for our turn so we took a lot of pictures to not get bored! :)

And finally it was our turn to enter the cave!!! :)

It was so dark inside the cave. We had just one big flashlight held by one of the passengers on the boat. The boatman was at the same time our tour-guide. He's very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. He showed us a lot of rock structures and made some jokes while talking about the cave. There were bats flying all around the cave but it didn't scare us! :)

The tour inside the cave took maybe half an hour. When we got out of the cave we took some more pictures and saw the mischievous monkeys on the seashore! We held on our purses which were packed in plastic bags because the monkeys are eyeing on our belongings! The tour-guide already warned us of the monkeys being the forest thieves. :)

LOL! One of the monkey went near me! That's why the face!

We strolled along the seashores despite the pouring rain! I actually took a plunge on the sea even though the waves are big! :) I didn't mind being alone. My companions waited for the rain to stop but it didn't. I was soaking wet when we were on our way home. :)

We went to sleep early that evening. I was so excited for the next day. The next itinerary for our 3rd day in Puerto Prinsesa was island hopping and snorkeling!

Graveyard Shift On A Rest Day.. :)

Geez! It's about 7 o'clock in the morning now. I haven't slept last night. Well I slept at around 2pm yesterday and someone woke me up at 7pm. I went to Church to practice some songs with the choir. I went home and hang out with my friends. Some of them went home ahead last night. I didn't go to sleep anymore because there's one more friend of mine who basically spent the whole evening here in my pad. And that friend went home just a few minutes ago. LOL! It feels like I was on a graveyard shift when it's supposed to be my rest day. But it's alright, I had fun with my friends!

Tonight, I'll be back at work. I'm not really that busy at the office last week. I'm hoping it's going to be the same not-too-busy- work week. But I guess I better make myself busy and read some more things that I should learn about my job. Or else, I'd look like a fool when my training is done. :)

I know I've mentioned a lot of times that I love my job so far. I like the atmosphere at work. Everyone is friendly. My team mates are very helpful especially if I am working on some orders. Although some of them are working while listening to music on their ipods which are basically in ear headphones, they don't mind if I disturb them from work and sound tripping whenever I have questions or I need them to check something on my work. I just don't want to mess up my orders this time. :)

I'll be working again tonight. I am looking forward to another week of fun at work! :) Because after the weekdays are gonna be weekend again. Hopefully next weekend, I would be able to enjoy my "Alone-ness"! LOL!

Happy Birthday Kuya Tibo!

Today is a special day! It's my big brother's 30th birthday!

To you, my brother dear - Aleksander Remus Cruz a.k.a TIBO, I hope for you to be strong in your FAITH. May God continue to bless you. I know there are a lot of things that we don't agree about but I you're my brother and you're always gonna be in my heart. I always pray for you, honestly! :)

Enjoy your day!

Prenup Photoshoot - Controversy

I've read about a controversial prenuptial photoshoot last week. According to the news, the couple took their prenup photos at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani. I thought to myself, what was the fuss about? Those at the graveyard are already dead! LOL! I'm just not patriotic, I guess. I pity the couple who have to do a public apology when in fact those who are in charge in that cemetery should take the blame. The couple may have not known about protocols or just didn't have any knowledge about the "sacredness" of the place. Those who let them in should have stopped them in the first place.

Prenuptial photos have really been "in" lately. The couple should have just thought of something else. Going to the cemetery for a prenup photoshoot isn't unique already. I a couple of friends of mine who had a sexy prenup photos where they were like washing their car, even getting themselves wet with water pouring out of a braided hose. They were both sexy and uhmm... HOT! :D It's the first time I've seen something like that, actually. I can say it's unique! LOL! The couple at the cemetery lacked ideas for a good prenup photoshoot, I guess! :)

Attending PNK Thanksgiving Day! :)

Thank God it's weekend again! I always love weekends! Why? Mostly because I'm gonna be very busy doing my Church obligations!

This weekend is special because I'll be attending our PNK (Pagsamba ng Kabataan) mid-year Thanksgiving Day! This happens every year and it's basically my first time to attend the kids' Thanksgiving Day. It's going to be just a few minutes from and I better have to get dressed up!

Later today, I'll be going out with friends and visit a friend of hours who just gave birth to a pretty baby boy! I'm excited to see them both! Pictures will be posted, of course!

Happy weekend everyone!

RV For Convenience

I wonder how it feels like owning an RV. The people I've heard of who owns RVs here in the Philippines are those who are rich and famous and very busy people. Since they don't have enough time to go home just to change their clothes or have a place to sleep at for a few hours, actors/actresses who do tapings in different venues, opt to get themselves an RV for their convenience. They have like their little room in it equipped with appliances that they need. It even has a sofa/bed that's built-in the van. I know about this because I saw some of them showcase it in Philippine T.V. on talk-show magazines. They don't basically live there but it's convenient for them especially if their schedule is so tight that they don't have the time to go home. I bet most of their RVs have motorhome insurance. I haven't really heard of someone who basically live in an RV here in the Philippines yet. But many Americans do. I wonder why! LOL! But if I become rich and famous and very busy, I would prefer having an RV too for convenience! :)

My Big Brother Is Turning 30!

My older brother, Aleksander Remus Cruz, is about to celebrate his 30th birthday. Wow! He's getting another year older! :D I am actually not that close to this brother of mine. We just don't get along even when we were kids. Maybe I'm the bad sister. There are just a lot about him that I can't understand. Although there were times that I tried to reach out to him and tried to understand him. But my being stubborn, I guess, just gets in the way. Maybe I just wanted to see him act like a "big brother" to me. Nah! Let me not dwell into that. I don't want to say anymore negative about my Kuya.

That's ME, ALEKSANDER and the youngest, FLORANTE. :D

We don't see each other a lot anymore because I live miles away from them now. I'm in Manila and he's back in the province with my Mom. He's not yet married and is still looking for a job right now. Whenever I go home, I really don't bond with my brother. I just realized I should be doing that since we very seldom see each other. I will have to do that on my next vacation back home.

His birthday is gonna be on July 21st. That's more than a week from now. I wonder what gift I'd give him this year. Should I give him some personalized gifts for men? Or should I just send him money so he can buy whatever he wanted? I really don't know what he would want for a gift since I don't know much about him. Sigh. I'm not really a bad sister, you know. I hope I can somehow make him happy on his birthday.

Puerto Prinsesa Trip - Part 1

Okay! So I now have the time to tell you about my Palawan adventure! I can finally post the pictures I took during my vacation at Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan. It was such a great experience and I really want to show to you all how wonderful Palawan is. This is my first entry. The pictures are courtesy of our photographer, Jon Vinoya, my cousin Michelle's husband! :) Thanks to him, I can post great pictures here in my blog!

Raquel and I arrived at Puerto Prinsesa airport on a beautiful Friday afternoon.

We didn't have much to do when we got to the pension house. We just had our dinner at Kinabuch's. It's one of the best restaurants in Palawan. I'll be doing a separate post for that place. :)

The pension house

We strolled the main street of Puerto Prinsesa and took some pictures in front of the Provincial Capitol. It's really the cleanest place I've ever been at!

The couple, Michelle and Jon arrived the next day, so Raquel and I did some strolling to kill the time.

A Little About My Palawan Experience

Last week was a very memorable week for me. I went to Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan with my cousin Michelle, her husband Jon and our friend, Raquel. We booked that flight months ago when the plane carrier here in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific Airlines, had one of their travel fair sale.

It was Michelle's idea since she wanted to spend her birthday somewhere else with us. It was some sort of one of those July 4th invitations for me, as well. Since we work for an American company, Michelle and I were also on a holiday vacay during that day. Although we didn't spend it patriotically like the American way. :)

Anyway, Puerto Prinsesa is one of the greenest and cleanest place I've ever been to here in the Philippines. There were definitely no littering on the streets. In fact, I didn't see any trash anywhere in that place. Even on their beaches. Their weren't any litters on the seashores. I was really in awe for that place, not just the beautiful surroundings, but also with the people over there who are very friendly and polite. The four days of my stay at Puerto Prinsesa wasn't really enough for me. There are still a lot of places I haven't explored in Palawan. I really wanted to go back in that paradise soon.

I will be posting our pictures later. I still have a lot of work to do today. I just wanted to tell you a little bit about my Palawan Getaway. I'll be back with more stories tell with our pictures taken during that vacation! :)

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

MY Weekend Is For You, Almighty God!

I am still trying to cope up with my new work schedule. It's really a very hectic one. My shift starts at 8 o'clock in the evening and ends at 5 o'clock in the morning. I have to leave my house an hour before my shift because it's rush hour. I have to deal with either the traffic on the bus ride or I have to struggle on my train ride on my way to work. :) I really don't have any choice right now but to deal with my schedule.

The sad part is, I wasn't able to perform some Church obligations and wasn't able to join some important Church activities. Most of them are done in the evening. It makes me feel guilty most of the time. I'm just hoping and praying that my work schedule will change soon.

This weekend, I will have to make it up to God. :) It's time for me to do some work for the Lord. He has been good to me all this time. Time for me to give back all the glory and honor to Him who has never forsaken me.

My weekend is for You, Almighty God!

Off To Puerto Princesa Palawan

In just a few hours, my long weekend at Puerto Princesa will begin! Our flight will be at 3pm this afternoon. Raquel asked me to bring my laptop yet I'm thinking twice. I don't like bringing it with me because it's heavy. However, it's nice if I bring it with me so we can go online while we are at the beautiful part of Palawan. We can update our Facebook account whenever we want. LOL!

I'll leave the house in just a few minutes yet I haven't decided. I'm excited about this trip. At last, I'll be out of town and have great outdoor fun even though it's rainy season now! Puerto Princesa, here I come!
